Original Graphic and Watercolor by Carol Collette Signed and Numbered Etching This home in Damariscotta, Maine, evokes a homey, comfortable feeling and attracted me for many reasons. The patterns of bright light and shade on the house present an aesthetically pleasing framework; and the depth suggested by the maple tree branches on the upper right, the flagstone pathway, and the trellis beyond the house, draw the viewer into the scene and imbue a sense of realism. I was particularly attracted to the colorful profusion of lilies, lupine and pansies, and sense that this is a garden lovingly cared for. |
