In every direction you notice the beauty of things both natural and man-made; rolling hills, dense woods, a landscape spotted with lakes and ponds and architecture that is charming in its simplicity and proportions. My travels throughout this region brought me to this inviting old farmhouse in which I saw an opportune combination of sunlight and shadow, and felt drawn to recreate. I imagine relaxing in the red rocking chair on a peaceful summer afternoon watching the ducks waddle down to a pond, while I recall the sound of buzzing bees, the distant moos of cows, and the pleasant fragrance of blooming flowers that I enjoyed in this country setting. |
